Finding festivals in Sweden with a proper line-up ─ at least when it comes to experimental electronic music ─ is still not the easiest task. However, there are a few more than trustworthy events every year, which never seem to disappoint. One of them is Intonal Festival in Malmö, which celebrates its 3rd edition this year with an immense line-up. We teamed up with them to bring you closer to the artists via interviews, guest mixes etc. – watch this space!
Intonal is making the right steps every year in order to turn into the mecca of experimental and electronic music. The festival covers a wide spectrum of genres, subgenres, special experiments and invites a generous mixture of top-notch international artists and fresh Swedish talents. Expect everything from electronic avantgarde through sound art to quality club music. There will be a number of installation exhibitions and artist talks, and some events will be free of entrance.
Intonal is presented by Inkonst in collaboration with Inter Arts Center, Unsound, Kontra-Musik, Fasaan Records, Goethe Institut and Polska Institutet with support by CTM, Musikverket, Malmö stad, Sparbanksstiftelsen and Region Skåne.
